Musicians are Company Members at Flock Theatre. It’s a role with both perks and responsibilities, and a key part of Flock’s creative life.
Perks as musicians
As a musician, you get access to a few special perks, such as:
- Access to weekly rehearsal with the company, directed and/or organised by Laura or Gael
- Participation in weekly shows from Flock Theatre
- Priority to perform in special shows and events (Laura & Gael Specials, International Specials, Flock Theatre Productions, etc.)
- Possibility to direct a What Impro
- Free access to all Flock Theatre shows
- 25% off workshops and classes during the season
- Option to opt-in for teaching classes, being hired in corporate gigs, etc. and get priority for those roles.
- Any other Company Members perk
Responsibilities as musicians
As a musician, you also take on a few responsibilities, such as:
- Being available for rehearsals (Wednesdays 16:30-18:30) and shows (Thursdays 19:30)
- Showing up to the weekly rehearsals at least every other week, with the mindset and drive to grow and improve.
- Caring about how Flock grows — wanting it to thrive because you’re part of it, and being curious about how it all works (like production, shows, etc.)
There is no required minimum of logistics shift (tech, bar, etc.) or advertising shift (flyers, posters), though you might be asked for help.
P.S.
We know this role is a commitment, but oh man, are we excited to grow Flock together with you!
