This masterclass is for any ambitious intermediate to advanced improviser that would like to dive deeper into the work of unscripted theatre. It’s perfect for you if:

• You want to improve your scene work and diversify your way of playing
• You are ambitious and in a learning mindset
• You are open to feedbacks and notes, and willing to work on your blind spots
• You enjoy working with a tight group of like-minded people together throughout a year
• You are curious about my improv style and Flock Theatre’s approach
• You’re excited by the idea that improv is never “finished”—there’s always more to discover

The content of the masterclass

The masterclass focuses on sharpening your scene work skills, in order to deepen relationships, the world and your own character. The type of work will be a combination of genuine, silly, heartfelt, grounded, truthfully comedic and sometimes heartbreaking.

We will explore the full range of what is possible to feel, while developing a coherent reality here and now, with your scene partners. Theatre is made for the audience first—and we’ll keep that at the center of our work.

The skills we will work on will cover, amongst others:

• Genuine and relatable characters—no matter the style
• Heartfelt relationships—both in realistic setting and with ridiculous characters
