The task of the person in charge of the Visitors’ Communication involves the planning, writing and the sending of our visitors’ information. The function can be done remote—though you can also join us in the Flock office—and at any moment of the day (or night).
The role of the Visitors’ Comms is to design and plan a sequence of information for our visitors: from the moment they get a ticket to after the event.
For this we use a tool called Promoter, that is directly linked to our ticketing system. (Check this video) This tool allows scheduling automatic emails triggered by specific events or at specific times.
The 3 types of visitors to receive our information emails are:
The design of these sequences is open to your ideas and we are welcoming any suggestion to make the visitors’ communication better, smoother and warmer!
Depending on which tool/idea/method you propose, this is done in consultation with Laura (PR, newsletter, etc.) or Gael (budget, webmaster).
The Visitors’ Comms is also in charge of the content of the information emails themselves.
When starting as Visitors’ Comms, you will be offered existing email templates and insights from our 5 year experience. For this, you will work with Laura, who does PR & Marketing, and writes the Flock Talk newsletter.
As the tool (Promoter) allows for scheduling and automating emails, this staff function can be done remotely—though you can also join us in the Flock office—and at any moment of the day (or night).
The person in charge of the Visitors’ Communication is a paid member of the Staff and a Company Member, which includes perks and responsibilities. It’s a prominent role in the life of the company, and this person will be very involved in the inner workings of Flock Theatre!
Like any other Staff position, this can be combined with an artistic position (Actor, Musician or Technician), but we also encourage anyone else who is not applying for an artistic positions.
We are building the future of Flock Theatre with a mix of people, ideas, and backgrounds. And we think that’s what makes it exciting. If you're not sure whether this is for you, please reach out. It might be!
